A dynamic group - Our Club is a fast-growing and highly affordable group.  We are for anyone who feels that their career and life would be more successful and enjoyable if they were better at organizing and giving speeches.

Be a guest - Neophites and experienced speakers, alike,  are welcome to "test drive" our club by being a guest at one of our meetings.  We conveniently meet twice a month in the evenings.  Guests tell us that they like Toastmasters' gradual improvement approach and our club's supportive nature.

About Toastmasters:

what?
Over 80 years - Since 1924,  Toastmasters' goal has been “to afford practice and training in the art of public speaking and in presiding over meetings, and to promote sociability and good fellowship among its members.”

A non-profit group - We are a local chapter of Toastmasters International, which gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.

why?For everyone - Each and every person can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with caring and helpful people.

how?At Hudson River Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment.  Our club meets twice a month for less than two hours. Everyone is given an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.  We are a nonsectarian club.  All guests, 18 or older, are welcome to our meetings.
